Forming part of the ECHO Arena and BT convention centre complex, the new GBP40 million waterfront exhibition hall and conference centre is being developed at Kings Dock on the north of the River Mersey. The practice is pleased to be a part of this significant regeneration project in such a prestigious location.
Appointed in 2009 to develop a feasibility study for the expansion of the existing Arena complex, the resulting business case supported a development of three exhibition halls totaling 8,100 sqm with banqueting, integrated hotel and support facilities.
Subsequently appointed as technical advisors to Liverpool City Council and ACC, the practice produced an outline design as part of the Employer's Requirements. The subsequent two stage tender and appointment of a main contractor in 2012 lead to the design being further developed by the contractor's appointed design team.
Our continuing role as technical advisors extends beyond the evaluation of the CP's to include the monitoring role during the construction phase of the project.
